The value for our money at Gateway Restaurant & Lodge was exceptional, with comfortable and clean rooms equipped with everything we needed, including an electronic fireplace. The location right next to the entrance of Sequoia and Kings Canyon national park was magnificent, offering a beautiful view over the river. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
The hotel breakfast menu could use some improvement, particularly in terms of food quality.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming lodge. The location was perfect, with easy access to Sequoia park. The cozy room was beautifully furnished and the bed was heavenly comfortable. The breakfast at the restaurant was simple but absolutely delicious. The staff provided excellent service and the wifi connection was surprisingly fast. We also enjoyed the nice facilities, including a bar. We only wish we could have extended our stay to enjoy it even more.
The dinner menu was a bit overpriced for a remote lodge.

I recently stayed at Gateway Lodge for a weekend getaway to Sequoia National Park. The manager's generous upgrade to a cabin with a private sauna made my stay even more amazing. The cozy atmosphere, automatic fireplace, and breathtaking river view created a perfect retreat. I was also impressed by the staff's trust in lending me chains for my jeep. The location near the park entrance, delicious meals at the rustic bar, and friendly atmosphere were all highlights. Great customer service and a warm atmosphere made my stay unforgettable.

I recently stayed at a lodge near Sequoia National Park and had an incredible experience. The location was perfect, with the lodge situated right at the entrance to the park. One of the highlights was the restaurant, which may be a bit pricey but the food was excellent and the view of the river was unbeatable. The lodge itself was cozy and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that as a guest, I was treated to a complimentary cup of coffee in the morning to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Additionally, the breakfast burritos were absolutely amazing!
Totally recommend this hotel.

The lodge offered breathtaking views and the rooms were comfortable and cozy. The upgraded shower was a plus and the amenities provided, such as towels, shampoo, and soap, were plentiful. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome during our stay. Additionally, the lodge's location was conveniently close to a key entrance of the nearby national park, making it easy for us to explore and enjoy nature.
The restaurant at the lodge left much to be desired. The food was extremely disappointing with unpalatable dishes and overpriced menu items.
